With so many choices in the area, what are some of your favorite day trips to take?

In the summer, our family likes to go to these places:

1) Bear River - Google Map

2) American River - Google Map

3) Rollins Lake - Google Map

One of my favorite things to do in the area is to paddle Lake Clementine. To learn more about paddling Lake Clementine, visit my blog at http://www.sherrimeyer.com.

Happy paddling,

Have been down to Coloma. Though never had the opportunity to go white water rafting.

In the winter I really enjoy heading up to Homewood to snowboard with the wife. I also enjoy taking the dog to Donner Lake during the fall when nobody is around. That lake is so beautiful. The Yuba river under the 49 bridge is great in the summer (prepare for seeing some nude people though.) Yankee Jim and Pondo are great river spots too.
