HEALTH IS WEALTH 2007/09/28 17:37 Karma: 4
Now that I'm seriously into the golfing, I wish to maintain the bod so as to prevent injury and remain limber for the big swing. I see Gabrielle Pullen, an extraordinary body mechanic who comes to the house and works both me and Jack out. Gabrielle will soon be on this site and will share with you her venue. I also see Donna Arz, owner of the Healing Light in North Auburn. Arz uses Reiki, an ancient therapeutic technique, to help me maintain my level of energies at the peak. I hate driving in heavy traffic--and it's worse than ever--so Arz helps me smooth out so I can navigate with minimum stress. Oh, when needed, I do see Matt Lambert, chiropractor with a great sense of humor, for necessary alignment. Matt is really a hoot and we both find ourselves howling all the while he's working out the kinks. I would definitely like to hear about other holistic healers in our immediate Auburn area.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any myself, but I would also be interested in finding a physician that uses a holistic approach. When we lived in the Bay Area I had a wonderful doctor who was trained in both Eastern AND Western medicine. He offered the best of both worlds. Example: He was not against prescribing pain medication if necessary, but he also used acupuncture, herbal medicine, relaxation techniques, etc. for a more holistic healing process. Does anyone know of a similar doctor in or around Auburn?????

Also coming to mind is a lady physician out in Lake of the Pines Medical Center. I did see this lady about three years ago and she--at that time--combined holistic with medical. You might try calling The Healing Light Institute in North Auburn (I just listed the business)and ask for referrals. I am a big proponent of holistic and value the services offered at Healing Light. Good luck and let us know how you do. Loyce!

Had the opportunity of meeting Arz through Loyce. Had a reiki session. Really enjoyed the experience. Felt a lot lighter afterwards.

Health is indeed wealth and priceless. However, it is not necessarily something that begins with the body. It begins with how we think and how we take responsibility for our own wellbeing.
Moving from one place to another rarely offers up the same kinds of things you found where you were before. It sounds like you know exactly what to do: acupuncture, herbal medicine, and relaxation techniques are all readily available in this area. You may have to start taking charge of your own healing by seeking out the individual self-care modalities that speak to you specifically as the next step in your own evolution.
Check out www.insightofnc.com for a listing of healing practitioners not far from your new home...Meanwhile, think on these words set down by one of the most famous American inventors:
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."
Thomas A. Edison
US inventor (1847 - 1931)

I agree with this proverb "HEALTH IS WEALTH". with out wealth we can survive but with out health we cannot survive, many people don't know the importance of health they always give importance to wealth it is not a right way.

Economics plays an important role in maintaining health: Without a good health plan, good health cannot always be maintained; so while wealth is not imperative, a solid health plan is vital--and costly.
