Unable to post a Restaurant Review of "Katrina's" 2007/11/09 22:48 Karma: 1
My review of Katrina's

(all 5's except a "3" for atmosphere).

Title: "Best Breakfast and Lunch Diner in Auburn"

this review could not be posted.
When you hit the "Submit" button, a popup window appears with Error messages. The screen freezes and I get logged out, and then I have to refresh the page and log back in again.

I tried twice to post the review, and both times the Error page appeared and I was bumped off.

Hi DJMC,

I just entered a test review of Katrina's. I was unable to replicate the error you received.

A few questions:

What browser are you using?
What version?
What were the error messages?

Once I know that info, I will try to track down what might be the issue.

If anyone else is having a similar problem, please post here about the error you received.

Regards,

Craig

I have tested in both Firefox 2.0.8 and IE 7 and everything worked ok on my end.

Craig,

I'm using MSN Explorer (not sure of the version number).

MSN Explorer is a "vundo-proof" version of IE.

We cannot use regular IE because of the Trojan Vundo virus, which causes constant popups for "Win Antivirus and other unscrupulous advertisements"

We cannot use Firefox 2.08 because it too is affected by the Vundo.....it causes FF to uninstall and you are then forced to re-install FF 2.04.....

MSN Explorer is the ONLY browser that seems to be unaffected by the Vundo problem.

Note: several of our friends have had this problem also, and have swiched to MSN Explorer for this reason.

As much as I hate to say it, we are unable to support the MSN Explorer browser as it is not an HTML / CSS compliant browser.

Rather than suffer with the consequences of obtaining a computer virus, there is hope and there is a cure!

A quick Google search on "Vundo removal" yields step-by-step instructions on this pesky virus removal. Granted, depending on your level of computer experience, this is not for everyone as it does require a bit of technical savvy and a lot of steps.

Vundo Removal

If you'd rather not venture down the road of virus removal on your own, you may want to pay a tech wizard to do it for you.

Getting rid of the virus not only benefits you but also protects others you may send emails or files to as well.

Thanks for the link......

After two attempts (installing, crashing, and re-installing) I was able to get FF 2.04 to work today w/o crashing!

Will try that cure first thing tomorrow.
