A Lesson in Logic: Politic Style 2007/09/07 15:53 Karma: 4
Congressman John Doolittle’s job is to champion the sentiments and beliefs of voters in the 4th congressional district, and do their bidding in Washington.

If Mr. Doolittle allowed this trust placed in him by the 4th CD electorate to be his primary barometer in choosing his actions, then presumably he would relinquish his seat of 17 years to prevent its loss to someone who does not embody the sentiments of the 4th CD electorate, right?

A recent scientific poll showing Doolittle’s negatives over 50% and a 20 point deficit behind Charlie Brown can be found here: http://www.flashreport.org/blog0a.php?postID=2007090404482938&authID=2005081622025042

Just moments ago Mr. Doolittle reiterated the resoluteness of his intent to run against Mr. Brown next November.

Now ask yourself, if Mr. Doolittle is being told, and must know himself, that he will be unable to best Mr. Brown next November, what would be the logical thing for Mr. Doolittle to do, again presuming his primary barometer for decision making is the prevailing sentiments and beliefs of his electorate? Well to resign his seat of course, to prevent the overwhelming disposition of a United States Congressional District from being squelched.

Following this rationale, one must conclude that Mr. Doolittle’s primary barometer for his decision making is NOT the prevailing sentiments and beliefs of the 4th CD electorate, for if it were, he would concede his seat to a like-minded replacement – thus preventing its loss to someone that does not embody the prevailing sentiments of the 4th CD.

For Mr. Doolittle to bow out gracefully and maintain some semblance of respect within this community, he must relinquish his seat prior to the upcoming primary election. He must understand he can not win a reelection and to try would be a disaster.

To prevent Mr. Doolittle from being replaced with card-carrying ACLU member and Nancy Pelosi clone, Charlie Brown, it is once again up to us – the voters to publicly and fervently demand Mr. Doolittle step down! Congressman Doolittle RESIGN NOW!!
