Gary Martin, former officer and sheriff, and currently employed with the Forest Service as a Wilderness Ranger and Forest Protection Officer, will share his knowledge and passion for these protected spaces. This presentation will include the history of Desolation Wilderness and the Wilderness Act, Wilderness volunteer and stewardship programs, trailheads and favorite day and night treks, safety, and a Power Point photo display.
