In honor of the 20th Anniversary of BBQ & Blues, individual tickets are reduced to $20 when purchased in advance, a steal for a music festival of this caliber. Tickets purchased at the gate will be $30.
The Placer SPCA is proud to announce Curtis Salgado, the legendary blues artist who inspired the Blues Brothers, will be the headline act at the 20th Annual BBQ & Blues on Saturday, July 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, California.
Curtis Salgado has long been recognized as one of America’s finest blues/soul singers. His most recent album was 2008’s critically acclaimed “Clean Getaway.” In 2008, Curtis Salgado was awarded four "Muddy Awards" by the Cascade Blues Association, winning for Best National Recording, Best Male Vocalist, Best Rhythm & Blues Act, and Performance of the Year.
Also appearing on the main stage will be the powerful musical acts of Café R & B and Mr. December. Local acts appearing include the Larson Trio, Roger Lauderman, Kyle Rowland, Shane Tillar, Jr., and an All-Star Band. Charlie Thomas of The Eagle 96.9 and Nick Toma of CW 31's Good Day Sacramento will be acting as event MCs.

BBQ & Blues is a destination event for blues enthusiasts. With two stages of entertainment, great food, and a beautiful setting, BBQ & Blues raises funds for the programs of the Placer SPCA, an independent nonprofit organization rated four stars by Charity Navigator. The Placer SPCA is located in Roseville, California and serves all of Placer County. In 2008, the Placer SPCA, local companion animal welfare experts, placed 1,979 animals in permanent homes.
