Carol has been quilting since the early 1980s and started collecting quilts at the same time. She has 1 quilt made by her grandmother and 2 made by her great-grandmother. These started her interest in antique and vintage quilts. her collection of quilts includes more than 100 and she does quilt research, gives presentations and has been published in both the scholarly press and the popular press. She is particularly interested in 19th century quilts and their makers.
