You are into your seventh year of broadcasting with AM 950 KAHI. Connections is going stronger than ever. Was in Courthouse Coffee yesterday. Lareau was not busy, wanted to know if you had been in. She mentioned you were in on Thursday with both Mark and the golf coach Spencer Strand. Again it was Terrific having the opportunity to work with you Loyce. Voicing passions are important especially Radio Broadcasting. There might just be more than one radio station in Placer County. Will have to look that up sometime. 8) - mediamaven

8)Well there just might be more than one station in Placer; but KAHI is the ONLY broadcasting station, going strong for 50 years. I'm into my seventh year. Celebrate. Give voice to your passion. :D - Loyce

You are very welcome. As far as coming by and stopping on Nov. 13th, might be very busy, we shall see. Yes being affiliated with KAHI is a nice feeling. You are right it is the ONLY radio station in Placer County.

There should be more than one radio station in Placer County, but KAHI is the only one.

Hey, Liz: Thanks for tuning in and contributing with your feedback. Yes, we are lucky to be affiliated with the ONLY broadcasting radio station in Placer County, now celebrating 50 years. Hope you can come celebrate with us on Nov. 13 in the Old State Theatre Downtown Auburn when KAHI will party from 6am to 6pm with prizes and cake.

Hey Loyce,

You are very welcome. Was nice to learn more about the History of the Donner Party. Wow!! McLaughlin is from Tahoe, CA. Awesome!! Will have to connect with him soon. Trying to establish connections up that way right now. Could tell he was talking about the different weather patterns. Kept referring to slopes, snow, and other things. John Snowshoe Thompson guy was pretty interesting. He lunched over at The Ridge and wrote about it. Which does give me an idea for another Lifestyle Article ;). It is close to I-80 East heading back up the hill to Tahoe.

Sun was shining brightly everyday this week. Was pleasant up in Reno too. The grass is greener everywhere. There was a lot of green golf courses up the hill. Though The Ridge is probably one of the greenist golf courses in Auburn. Might be a little bit greener than Darkhorse. Unless of course they are the same. :) - mediamaven

Yo, Liz: Yes, McLaughlin came over from Tahoe where he resides, to guest in-studio and share his research about the Donner Party and the weather patterns. McLaughlin headed over Court House Coffee to sell books/network and then landed for lunch at The Ridge where he wrote me about his wonderful experience. And speaking of weather: Does the sun shine any more brightly than right here in our own playland where the grass is green/greener/greenist? 8) - Loyce

Enjoyed the Historian Mark McLaughlin and he provided excellent information on the Donner Party. Was not able to hear Spencer Strand. Had other things going on. Great program this week. - mediamaven
