:)And to Linda The Compassionate, I ask: What living thing--even a lettuce--does not give up its "life" when plucked from the earth; but we humans CHOOSE to consume that which once lived; so, hopefully, we can do so in gratitude and, perhaps, give back by planting flowers and even adopting pets and caring for them to bring about a balance to the debit we leave. I love discussing the philosophy; so we can be grateful to Craig for this Buzz site. Yeah, Craig. L! 8) - Loyce

Wow, written with passion Loyce. As I slice meat to make my delicious, wholesome sandwiches, I think about each precious animal who gave up their life, although unwillingly, to feed the humans who may think they are consuming a plant rather than a living animal who would, if they had a choice, continue to exist on this planet. Although this thought has not convinced me to abstain from my consumption of various meats, I still appreciate those who thank each animal who has provided them with nourishment. Thank you for your insight and sensitivity to all living things on this planet.
Linda

Taking care of pets are important. Your pets are wonderful. I do miss seeing your cats, bird and the dogs.

Staying away from red meat has been pretty easy. I do not each much of it anymore. Fish, Chicken are my primary sources of protein. - mediamaven
