The California Masonic Family has chosen October as Make a Difference Month. It is when all Masonic Orders join together as a fraternity to help the community on a project together and in doing so, it is hoped we become stronger as a Masonic Family and let our community know a little bit about whom we are and what we do.

The Masonic Family of Eureka Lodge No 16 in Auburn hosted a “Make a Difference” Community Service Appreciation Breakfast Saturday October 11th.  The men of Eureka Lodge #16, ladies of Crystal Chapter #57 Order of Eastern Star, and girls from Bethel #148 Jobs Daughters and Assembly #57 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls joined together and presented our local service agencies that provide service in our community to a FREE BREAKFAST!

In attendance was; Auburn’s Chief of Police Valerie Harris and family, Placer Sheriff Department and Search and Rescue Personnel, District Attorney’s Office, APD Personnel, Placer Law Enforcement Chaplaincy, US Forest Firefighters and several members of the fraternity all enjoyed a huge homemade breakfast sponsored by the Masons of Eureka Lodge. This event was the Masonic Family’s way to express their gratitude to these hardworking service providers that “Make a Difference” in our community everyday!

It was a complete success for the community and fraternal family of Eureka Lodge!

Eureka Lodge of Auburn was established in 1851 during the height of the California Gold Rush. The Mason’s have been conducting business for 157 years while Crystal Chapter, Order of Eastern Star for 125 years. The mission of the lodge is brotherhood, community involvement and self-improvement through family values, moral standards and charity.

Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization. It is based on the belief that each man can make a difference in the world. Freemasonry encourages good men to become better men by promoting a life dedicated to high ideals, community service, and goodwill. Masons contribute more than $1.4 million every day in the United Sates and support numerous Masonic philanthropies.
