The Sierra Business Council met to discuss the recently released Sierra Nevada Wealth Index report.

and discussed at a regional forum held at the Power’s Mansion Event
Center this past week. Those interested in reading the findings of the
Index in the updated Wealth Index may view it at the SBC web site,
www.sbcouncil.org.

Coach Carroll’s Clinic — Former pro basketball player Jimmy Carroll
gave a pep talk to some of the youngsters who participated in his
shooting clinic at the Regional Park Gym last week. Carroll, a star at
Placer High before playing for Utah and University of Nevada, Reno,
also chairs the Auburn Recreation District Board of Directors.
Winners of Auburn's Family Fourth of July parade gathered for a special photograph last week.
Area Lions Clubs representatives presented award certificates and $100
checks last Wednesday to the winners of the Auburn Family 4th of July
parade. Lindenwood Equestrians won best performance, Joslin’s East West
Karate won best decorated float and Auburn Pageants won best overall.
The Lions Clubs produced the parade with the theme “Youth: America’s
