I only order take out..

I've been a customer for 4 years now . While they do seem to go through the staff, I have always enjoyed the food.. Never disappointed !

And, yes, the staff's english is usually marginally, I have always been able to cummunicate / get what I intended on ordering..

I think the food here is pretty good. Its not San Francisco, but it passes for good Chinese. My family eats here regularly since we moved to LOP and have never gotten sick, as the first reviewer did. I like the Mu Shu, which is very tasty and has a nice presentation if you have it served in the restaurant. The Hot Sour soup is also good, but sometimes there is too much pepper. The kids like the Lemon and/or Orange Chicken- that they make for us, but is not even on the menu! Try the Egg Foo Yung and the Green Beans and you won't be dissapointed. The food is very consistent.

That other reviewer seems to have had a bad experience, but we've eaten at the Hunan numerous times and never had a problem. They have a huge menu and you can turn an entree into a complete meal with soup, tea, appetizers and rice for another $2.50. Not many places let you do that. I recommend the Sizzling Beef in spicy sauce, which has a lot of tender beef and a good range of veggies. You can also substitute chicken if you're watching your cholesterol. It's true the staff's English is fairly limited, but they do manage to communicate.

nobody here spoke decent english, which i might put up with had the food been quality. they did smile, and when i reported i had found a bug in my food and the chicken in my other dish smelled awkward and wasn't cooked they smiled and shook there head. i don't think they got it. i paid my bill and left having only my soup, and one bite of chow mein.they said sorry i think, but i couldn't understand. a few days later i was terribly sick to my stomach.
