I liked Pappy's better when it was a Greek Restaurant. Unfortunately, the town of Auburn does not like Greek food, therefore he had to revert to bland American cuisine.
Don't get me wrong, Pappy's is a Good Place To Eat. I would rather spend my $8 for lunch at the nearby Indian buffet.
Nevertheless, if Lamb Curry is not your thang, and you need A Good Place To Eat on this side of town (not many exist,) then Pappy's is the place for you!
My husband Jack and I have eaten breakfast at Pappy's and have no complaints about the food; although on occasion we've had to wait longer than we expected. Husband Jack has patronized Pappy's for lunch/breakfast for over a decade and sometimes seats himself at the counter. Pappy's is easy to access when heading toward town and there's always plenty of parking.
My Restaurant Observations
Price Range: Cheap (<$10) Kid Friendly: Yes

heard this place was great, WAS, Tuesday, 02 October 2007
an old friend told me about this place he used to go to years ago, so i went to try it out. the food was cheap and if you are looking for quantity you've found the right place. it's the quality i have issue with. the food was both greasy and cold. my server was a tall brunette crack addict who i'd overheard talking about prison and hit and run i guess. it was scary, and made me sick. the table was unclean, my coffee was brought to me and never refilled and the check was all but thrown at me after i had to flag someone else down for it. the cold english muffin i had wasn't half bad, and if you're looking to lose weight this is the place to do it at.
