Placer County in line for $3 million |
Placer County officials were jubilant this week after learning that the House Appropriations Committee has approved nearly $3 million for county projects.
The committee recommended $1.2 million for law enforcement
communications and another $1 million for the regional wastewater
treatment and water reclamation project.
The committee also approved $500,000 for the county’s biomass
utilization pilot program that is geared to prevent big wildfires while
utilizing biomass material for potential “green” energy production.
Another $250,000 was approved for the Children’s Health Center/Emergency Shelter.
The full House is expected to approve the expenditures before they are considered by a joint Senate/House conference committee.
