The Rocklin City Council will soon be considering the controversial blueprint for development of the 620-acre Clover Valley.

Without a dissenting vote and after two evening public hearings, the
Rocklin Planning Commission last week recommended approval of the plan
that calls for 555 residences, a fire station, a commercial center and
a trail for hiking.
The plan earmarks 365 acres for open space. The original plan submitted by Clover Valley Partners envisioned 952 homes.
The proposed project still has plenty of opponents, who believe its
environmental impact report inadequately addresses traffic concerns,
air pollution, historic Native American sites and wildlife habitat.
