Things were back to normal at Placer High School on Tuesday in the wake of a campus lockdown that lasted for more than an hour Monday morning while police searched for a handgun-toting man who was seen in the vicinity of the Earl Crabbe gymnasium.
Police Chief Valerie Harris and nine other APD officers, backed up by
officers from the sheriff’s department and CHP, combed the campus but
could find no sign of trouble.
One student who reported the incident said the man with a gun got into
a pickup truck and drove off. APD officers were talking to other
students Tuesday in the hope of identifying the suspect.
