Citing violations of the state’s environmental laws, the Clover Valley Foundation and the Sierra Club have sued the City of Rocklin over its recent approval of the planned 558-unit Clover Valley project.
The lawsuit was filed in Placer County Superior Court and alleges
disregard for trees, improper treatment of historic sites, poor air
quality and inadequate creek setbacks.
Project opponents are proceeding on another track, too. They want a
referendum measure on one of next year’s election ballots to nullify
the city council’s decision.
