Volunteers who built the new gateway monument sign off I-80 near Ophir Road were treated to a thank-you lunch in the Auburn Alehouse last Friday by Old Town’s Brian Hayes, who was too bashful to be photographed with his guests who were, from the left, Mayor Bob Snyder, architect Michael K.
