I have to say it's about time that Colfax had a friendly place to go for good eats and drinks. I have been to the Naked Rooster a few times now and have always enjoyed my visit. I have seen the owner make food for customers that was not on the menu, for the meer reason that they liked it a special way. Any type of beer you want, they have it! The beer is by far the coldest I have had in a while. Although I'm not much of a wine drinker, they have a decent wine selection. The back room has a juke box and 2 flat screen TV's, you can watch any game on or just the news. I noticed that the kids chicken strips are mighty big and the steak dinners are very good and affordable, nice dinner salad, baked potato, bread and veggies. The biscits and gravey, well there is no lack in gravey thats for sure! All in all if you are looking for something easy or a nice dinner this is the place that really has it all....

I have been to the rooster on several occasions and have had a wonderful experiance each time. My husband and I love to enjoy a night out at the rooster weather it be for the food or the variety in beer and wine. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. My favortie food item would have to be the black angus steak. My husband enjoys their reaccuring "special" chicken quesidilla. Not to mention the renovations the new owner has done make this place extremely inviting. The owner makes it very inviting as well. I would recommend this restaurant/Bar to anyone who is out for a relaxing yet fun evening.

I had a great time at the Naked Rooster. We sat at the bar where there were numerous beers to choose from (9 on tap, and many other bottled beers) There was also a good wine selection ranging from $5.50 a glass for the house to $8.50 for their best. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak which was by far the best Philly I've ever had. My companion ordered the Penne Pasta dish for $12.95. She also enjoyed her dinner very much. The bartender was really funny...and helpful. She involved everyone at the bar in all the conversations, and I felt like I was in the middle of a "Cheers" episode. She was joking with everyone, and was busy helping out the wait staff and made sure everyone was taken care of. She was very passsionate about being in Colfax, and really hopes things will turn around in the town and more visitors come there. She also stated that the front room of the restaurant will soon be utilized as more of a "lounge" area where people can hang out & cruise the internet. There were also a lot of families in the restaurant with children. I'm definetely going back there real soon. Great food & fun!

at first this place seemed to have unlimited potential. i was there the opening day and had a lovely experience. i was happy to see they remodeled the place since it had been Madonna's, however the main dining room and employees were in the back of the place which is really confusing. the food was decent although they didn't have much of a beer and wine selection. i've visited 3 times since opening day and am sad to report whatever promise the company once had has gone downhill. the place has been unusually slow lately and it's a wonder why. the owner should really consider replacing the bartender as she has nothing good to say ever and obviously holds some sort of a grudge against the city of Colfax and the people who live here. that is just bad for business. there is nothing i hate more than to go into a place to relax and enjoy a nice meal, only to overhear the help complaining nonstop about being there. i will not be returning anytime soon.
