Oct. 2 Water Logged
In a remote location in the forest 12 miles east of China Wall  near Foresthill, a water trailer was stolen from a logging operation.
 
Oct. 8 Shooting
Suspects fired a weapon into a home on Karchner Road in Sheridan, narrowly missing both residents. The victims stated that they have no known enemies.
Oct. 9 Under-oops
A citizen reported a suspicious vehicle on Mosquito Ridge Road in Foresthill. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man inside, yelling and clad only in his underwear. A records check confirmed he was a convicted felon. A rifle and pistol were located inside the vehicle. While being booked at the Placer County Jail, deputies discovered he was also carrying crystal methamphetamine.
 
Oct. 11 Granite Bay Bust
During a routine traffic stop on East Roseville Parkway and Barton Road in Granite Bay, a consent search of the vehicle was conducted during which a plastic baggy containing marijuana and a digital scale were discovered. The driver of the vehicle admitted to possessing the items and said he planned to sell the marijuana to a co-worker.
