Steve and Nancy Bender and Don and Katie Gwinn have been named honorary hosts of this year’s Faith and Fantasy “Midnight in Marrakesh” Ball, sponsored by the Sutter Auburn Faith Foundation. The black tie dinner and dance will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Ridge Golf Course in Auburn.
The Benders moved to Auburn in 1980 for a better life in which they
would raise their children. As a nurse practitioner, Nancy has been an
active part of the Auburn health community. For the past six years, both Steve and Nancy have supported the Faith
and Fantasy Ball fundraiser and this year are serving as co-hosts with
Don and Katie Gwinn. The Gwinns have worked and lived in the Auburn area for more than 20
years and have been involved with the Sutter Auburn Faith Foundation
for more than six years. Both Don and Katie have had active roles in the annual Faith and
Fantasy Ball, serving on the live and silent auction committees as well
as assisting with numerous other hospital fund raising projects. In addition, Don serves on both the Hospice Advisory Committee and the
Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Investment Committee to assist with the
stewardship of donated funds. The ball, a major fundraiser for foundation-sponsored health services,
hospital needs and the hospice program, will feature live and silent
auctions, and a travel sweepstakes to win a $5,000 gift certificate for
Navigant Vacations for the vacation of the winner’s choice. Tickets, which are $150, are limited. For more information or to obtain tickets to the Faith & Fantasy Ball, call 530-888-4557.
