AAARF was founding in April 1997 and has since found permanent loving homes for over 5,800 animals in Northern California. AAARF uses a network of volunteer foster homes to care for animals until they are ready for adoption. Our shelter, the Isabelle Torsak Memorial Adoption Center, is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and by appointment.
AAARF takes homeless cats, kittens, dogs and puppies from areas througout Northern California including Placer, Nevada, El Dorado, Sacramento, Yuba, Merced and Butte Counties.
