They really have improved on the food & service quality, on a recent visit even the busgirl (named "Allie") was smiling and seemed to be enjoying her job.

A few years ago enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends and family over at Lou La Bonte's. Love the vintage style bar and open dining room area. What makes it such a great location is that it is off I-80 headed down from Reno, Tahoe, Truckee or up I-80 coming from Sacramento. Will have to go back again!

Husband Jack and I frequent Lou La Bonte's about five times a year for the past decade and have always enjoyed the friendly service and tasty food and drink. We enjoy the open surroundings in the main dining room and the cozy comfort in the vintage bar. We will continue to patronize this mainstay.

This restaurant is living on its past glory, when it was a major tourist stop on the way to/from Tahoe in the 50's and 60's.
